NEW CLASS ALERT:
Yoga Nidra, Yin, and Sound Savasana ~ Sundays @4:30 PM Starting October 5th
Enjoy the opportunity to rest and restore with Yoga Nidra and Yin yoga. This class combines the deep stretching poses of Yin yoga with the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra. We will end class with soothing sounds from various sound bath instruments during savasana.
Yoga Nidra is an ancient art and science using guided meditation to bring you to an effortless state of being between wakefulness and deep sleep. Yoga Nidra is a practice of non-doing, simply listening to the meditation instructions that guide you through a systematic and easeful letting go of tension in all the layers of our being so we can rest completely with our truest nature. With consistent practice, Yoga Nidra may reduce tension, improve the quality of sleep, decrease feelings of anxiety and overwhelm, and increase the sense of well-being and happiness!
Yin yoga is a primarily floor-based practice that involves finding the perfect variation of a pose for each unique body, and then holding that pose for 3-5 minutes. Yin allows us to work into the deeper tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep facial networks, and even our bones. These poses focus on stillness of the body and the mind, creating the opportunity for a meditative mindset. This is a powerful practice for body, mind, and spirit!
Please bring any props and supports you would like! Recommendations include: a mat, yoga blocks (2), a blanket, a bolster, and an eye pillow (or light towel).

First Tuesday of the Month ~
Gentle Flow with Yin & Reiki
Yin & Reiki is a special self-care yoga class that combines the calming energy of Yin Yoga postures with the healing energy of Reiki.
This class offers a unique blend of physical release through Yin Yoga and energetic restoration through Reiki, providing a comprehensive self-care experience designed for deep renewal. The emphasis on energy work and reduced spoken words creates a tranquil environment, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in healing and restoration.
What is Yin? Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods, typically three to five minutes or more. It targets the deep connective tissues of the body, like ligaments, joints, bones, and fascia, promoting increased flexibility and a sense of calm.
What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique based on the principle that the practitioner can channel universal life energy into the client by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the client's body and restore physical and emotional well-being. It is often described as a gentle, hands-on healing modality that promotes relaxation and stress reduction.

Last friday of the Month ~ Extended Yin Class
A 75-minute yin yoga class generally offers more benefits than a 60-minute class due to the extended time allowing for deeper physical, mental, and energetic effects. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which is a foundational aspect of yin yoga, longer holds in specific poses can help to stimulate and clear blockages in the body's energy channels or meridians. A 75-minute class offers more time to target these pathways, promoting a better flow of "chi" or life force energy throughout the body. Other perks to this longer class include:
Increased Flexibility and Joint Mobility
Enhanced Mental and Emotional Benefits
Deeper Stillness and Mindfulness
Greater Opportunity for Emotional Release
Calming the Nervous System
Improved Energetic Flow
